Website tip #5-16 (reference links page)

One of the helpful page formats available with WebCubic websites is the "reference links page". These three pages will easily allow you to provide hyperlinks to other websites. Each reference can be accompanied with a brief description to explain to your visitor the value of the specific hyperlink.

You can use these reference pages to provide links to "real estate information", "community information", "my partners' websites", and a host of other collections of websites.

To update a reference links page, do the following from the Main Administration menu

- click on "Links/ Gallery/Web pages"

- you will see a sub-menu showing "reference links page 1" through "reference links page 3". Click on the specific page you wish to update.

- enter the "page title" that you wish to display as the page header
- for each row (or hyperlink), enter the "Title", "URL", and "Description". For example, you can add a link to WebCubic by supplying the following information:

Title: Google search engine
URL: http://www.webcubic.com
Description: Internet technology company providing solutions for real estate professionals.

- when you are done, click on "update".

You must also associate the updated reference links page with a navigation button. From the Main Administration menu:

- click on "Edit navigation buttons"
- enter a title for the navigation button
- use the pull down arrow to "pick" the desired "reference 1 - 3" that you want
- click on "update"

Here's a special note. The "reference links page 1" is preloaded with the old format "links" page. This will not show up in the pull down "pick" list until a title has been given to the page.
