Make compelling offers
An Internet marketing tipYour real estate website will attract visitors. How important is it that you had 50 visitors or 100 visitors or 1,000 visitors? It satisfies our egos that people came to our websites, but unless they tell you who they are, the visits really have no value. So the question is "what do you have to do so your visitors will identify themselves?"
You must offer them something that compels them to disclose their identity - hence a "compelling offer". Such offers can take the form of a subscription, an opportunity to ask a question, receive a referral reward, receive something for free, and a myriad of other things.
There are some real estate websites that make 20 to 25 offers (some even more). While that may be overwhelming, it does give the visitor 25 opportunities to take action. Remember - these visitors want to maintain their anonymity (they want to remain anonymous) and, as a result, be passive visitors. Your "compelling offers" must grab their attention.
Here are some characteristics of successful compelling offers:
- considered valuable to your visitor
- offered by only a few people. For example, many offer an opportunity to "ask the expert". Why not try something different - perhaps "ask the expert in a specific community"?
- use a headline to grab visitors' attention
- use a form (like WebCubic's FormCreatorâ„¢) to collect their information (but don't ask for too much information - your visitors won't want to fill out a long form)
Try our FormCreatorâ„¢.
