Search engine submittals

We are often asked how and when we submit our customers' websites to search engine. Here is a general outline of that process.

Within 30 days of a user obtaining a WebCubic website, a member of our support team submits the new website to approximately 25 free search engines, including Google. We wait for those 30 days to allow the user to complete the initial configuration and customization of the website.

After that, users are encouraged to submit their websites periodically to the search engines. In our manual on Internet Marketing (available to all subscribers in our "subscriber only" section of the www.webcubic.com website), we offer suggestions on the search engines that can be used. Some are free and others are fee-based.

If you haven't read this manual, please make the time to do so. It is updated from time-to-time and will prove to be a handy guide for dealing with search engines.

When you do submit to search engines, we suggest you do it every 4-6 weeks. If you do it more frequently, there is a chance that the search engines will consider this to be "spam" and will delete your submission and you'll be banned from that search engine.

Is there more to discuss on this topic? Are there services that WebCubic offers to assist website owners? The answer is "yes" in both cases. More on that in a later post. If you need more information now, please give us a call.
