Website tip #6-03 (calculators)

As you know, WebCubic provides a loan calculator. The spreadsheet style calculator is part of the initial website when it is created.

Some have mentioned that the calculator does not work. The reason for that is that some computers do not have Java settings properly activated in their Internet Explorer. If you are having that problem or know of anyone else, then here are the steps to take.

After opening Internet Explorer 5.x or 6.x:

- Click on "Tools", then
- "Internet Options..."
- "Security" tab
- make sure that the "Internet" security zone is highlighted
- "Custom Level..." button
- scroll down until you see "Scripting". Below that is "active scripting". Click "Enable"

Click OK.

One other note about calculators. WebCubic provides other calculators that may be of interest to your visitors. To use these, edit the navigation buttons from your administration screen and use "calculators.htm" as the target hyperlink.
