NAR 2007 Technology Survey

In May, the NAR published their 2007 Technology Survey. Survey highlights:

- more than 50% of brokers, agents, and managers said they spent more than $1,000 last year on technology

- 25% spent more than $2,000 last year on technology

- two-thirds said they have a real estate business website. 25% spend more than $1,000 annually to maintain their websites.

- not surprisingly, 93% of these websites provide listing search capabilities

- two-thirds would like their broker to expand the amount of technology offered

- 94% include a CMA as part of their listing presentations

- 28% said they used a "smart phone" in 2006, and 30% plan to purchase or replace one in 2007

- 59% use an automated forms management program to streamline the paperwork

- 23% use a transaction management system
