iPod Video and the future

In four years, the iPod family and its accessories have changed the way we listen to music and view entertainment. The fifth generation devices are the latest and fastest selling member of this family. There is an entire accessory aftermarket that is developing. One of the latest accessories is Boxwave miniBud (improved earbuds).

It's obvious that the iPod will continue to impact us in the future. Not just because you can view yesterday's episodes of Lost. Let's take a look at what the future might be. Assume that you own an iPod.

- it will also be a telephone

- there will be 17 terabytes of data (283 times more than the current 60 gigabytes)

- it will be a camera and video recorder

- additional software to display virtual tours

- it will be Bluetooth compatible

- it will be possible to view a larger image than the screen either by attaching an external display or by projection.

The bad news about the iPod is that the prices are not discounted.
