Build trust via your website
There are many reasons why Internet consumers visit real estate websites. Primarily they visit these sites to see properties. Among the benefits of consumers visiting YOUR website is that they can learn to trust you. People will do business with people they trust.
How do you convey that you are a trustworthy REALTOR? Take a look at your website.
1. Your website design is the first impression. While it doesn't have to be "pretty" but it must appear to be a professional site and be relevant for real estate.
2. Navigation is important. People want to do certain things - search for properties, for example - they must quickly be able to do that. If they cannot find what they're looking for, they will question your competence.
3. Change the standard verbage that accompanies a "template" website so that it reflects its own voice and tone. People buy people.
4. Regularly add new content. It shows that you are still actively engaged in the real estate business.
5. Review your links to outside destinations periodically. If a link is broken, that will reflect badly on your competency.
6. Use good grammar and spelling. This does matter. Errors will convey sloppiness and carelessness.
7. Do not make promises that you cannot keep. People may read something that is outrageous, despite your best intentions, and view you negatively.
