Long tails
You may have heard the term "long tail keyword" in regards to Google searches. What exactly is a "long tail keyword"? A newsletter from entireweb.com discussed this subject.Long Tail Keywords are longer and more targeted phrases used by search engines. Here is an example of a long tail keyword mentioned in the article.
"night time photography tips eliminate blinking from photos removing red eye from photos"
Long tail keywords are targeted to specific sub topics. They have the advantage of having less competition, therefore making it easier to rank higher in search engine results.
Another advantage is that long tail keywords result in more targeted traffic.
