Website tip #6-12 (blog, part 1)
Have you thought about having your own real estate blog?There are millions of blogs currently available on the Internet. Many are of value only to the author and likely are never viewed by anyone other than the author. For you, the real estate professional, a blog can help you to provide information of value to your visitor - a body of helpful information to be read by many other people.
- if you specialize in investment properties, then your blog will feature articles dealing with investments in the geographic area you are working in. You can explain how to invest, when to invest, what to invest.
- if you specialize in a particular geographic area, you can explain the many wonders of that area, share some of the local happenings, describe the community, and so forth. In addition to enhancing your status as an expert in the area, it can be a place for your visitors to return.
- you can use it just like the "personal news" section of your WebCubic website. It will allow a larger number of items with more formatting capapbilities.
Once you have a blog, then your visitors can view via your website. There are at least three ways to do this.1) you can simply provide a hyperlink to the blog (something like "click HERE to view my blog")
2) you can create a navigation button to the blog and view it within the website
3) you can provide an RSS feed from the blog that can be viewed from within the website
Before actually getting started you should consider:
- what will your blog contain?
- how will your visitors access your blog?
