FIFTH in a series on search engine optimizationWebCubic submits your domain name to the major three search engines: Google, Yahoo, and MSN. The process is simple - just fill out a simple form. The search engines state that it is not required that you submit your domain name. This means that they will locate your website via other links and references. But a submittal will result in a more immediate result.

Once the submittals have been made, they will "crawl" through your website and thus your site may appear on search engine results. The timing of this varies. Generally you will starting seeing results on MSN and Yahoo within one month. Google generally takes more time - as many as four to six months.
