MLS 5.0
We've discussed Web 2.0 before. But what is MLS 5.0?MLS 5.0 is built similar to Web 2.0. In other words, it is open and collaborative. Essential to the mission MLS 5.0 is that the real estate professional must be at the "center of the conversation" about properties.
MLS 5.0 is parcel based rather than listing based. Therefore it includes all real properties - not just the properties available for sale. It provides property information to bring consumers and real estate professionals together on the web to engage in a conversation with real estate at its core.
Through the use of Open API's that provide access to listing data, applications can be built leading to a richer environment of features and software that will benefit professionals and consumers.
