Insight on YouTube

YouTube has a capability called "insight". Insight provides analytics on your individual videos. Use Insight to track the number of times your video was viewed over a period of time. YouTube enables you to compare its "popularity" compared to other videos identifying them in the range of 1 (low popularity) to 100 (high popularity). For the masses, there are decimal popularity figures, too.

You'll be able to see some demographics of those that view your video - ages and gender. It's not accurate because it can measure only users who are logged in. However, it does provide interesting statistics.
