Twitter is not just sending 140 character messages to your family, friends, or associates. Of course, it is that.But there are "commands" that you can send to control the behavior of Twitter. Visit the location at http://twitter.com/help/lingo.
You'll find that you can add new users, get the latest post from a specific user, and some miscellaneous tasks.
get username to get username's latest tweet
track term to subscribe to tweets containing term regardless who posted it.
